On the weekend we had the honour of attending one of the most fun weddings I've been to - Jen and Daniel's big day down the south coast in Jamberoo.
Sarah and I drove down with Prash, Mel and Meg while Sal and Tom made their own way and joined us down there. We jumped on the chartered bus from Kiama with 50 already rowdy guests and rolled up at the gorgeous old sandstone church set in rolling green farming country on a clear blue winter day.
We were a little perplexed to see Jen jumping out of the car as we arrived and thought "Oh no we're late! We're not supposed to see the bride before the wedding! I'm sure there's other rules of wedding etiquette that are being broken here but I don't know what they are!"
But it was all ok, having been together for over 11 years already, Jen and Daniel decided they wanted to do things their own laid-back way, so they both grabbed glasses of champers and mingled with the mob for half an hour before the wedding. It was great, it made it such a fun and relaxed vibe.
Sorry Mel I had to put this shot in, I love the "Cousin It" look. It was a bit windy...
I don't know what precipitated the secret agent look but I like it:
Bouquet in one hand, glass of champers in the other. If there was any pre-wedding stress I couldn't see it!
Aren't we all class?
I love this shot of the singing priest bathed in glorious sunshine, glowing brightly as he farewelled the married couple. The priest was fantastic, he was anything but stuffy, just completely relaxed and funny and solemn when he needed to be. PLUS he had a great booming baritone voice and he'd burst into song halfway through a sentence, it was awesome - just like being in a musical!
It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony all up, congrautations guys!!!
