Our friend Deb came back from Shanghai for just a few days visit and we had her over for dinner on Thursday night with her sister Sarah, Sarah's hubby Grant and their new baby Hamish. Cute kid, he's got dimples and he's pretty entertaining. It was a really fun night, we had them over to our place because we didn't want to make a big deal about the vegan thing so that way we could just cook ourselves. Nobody even realised until we mentioned it that everything was vegan.
Vietnames rice paper rolls to start, then a leek, field mushroon, shiitake mushroom and lemon risotto with baby spinach, cherry tomato, lebanese cucumber and carrot salad on the side. Yummy!
No dessert but we had a platter of dates, macadamias and dried apricots which seemed to go down well (it sure disappeared quickly).
