Decisions decisions

After the Tiger Leaping Gorge experience we came back to Lijiang and tried to decide what to do next. We had less than a week left on our visa to China, everything cool to see was at least a full day away by bus and another day back, and then once back in Lijiang we still had 2 overnight bus rides to get to the Vietnamese border. So what to do... We spent a full day procrastinating by doing internet, watching movies in gorgeous little cafes, wandering the streets etc. We were going to decide at dinner, then after dinner, then before bed... then first thing in the morning.

Ah bugger it, another day relaxing in Lijiang! It wasn't terrible. Going for a run through the streets and up any hill I could find at dawn was fun

Watching toothless old Naxi crones singing away from our brekky cafe was also cool

Sadly the tacky Aussie bathmats we saw everywhere (as seat cushions in outdoor cafes, floor mats in our hostel, even saddle-blankets on horses) did make me a little homesick
