Either way I got quite caught up in it all. After solid performances in many sports, and clearly the most animated cheerleading, chanting and brandishing of inflatable kangaroos of any of the offices, Sydney managed to win the entire competition by one point and finally claim the illustrious Minter Ellison Challenge Cup.
Can you imagine the level of competitiveness displayed by corporate lawyers against their interstate rivals? Actually it wasn't that bad - there was a surprising amount of good sportspersonship (is that a word?) and also a level of fitness and co-ordination that was unprecedented for such a bunch of geeks.
So I managed to survive 50 metres of butterfly, but it was a near thing. I then brought home the men's freestyle relay with a final two metres of the most blistering dog-paddle that you've ever seen! Yadda yadda yadda, this isn't the sports show. The highlight of the weekend was dinner at the dodgy medieval themed restaurant in a faux castle (complete with a real moat). Traditional medieval fare like Birdseye frozen peas eaten to the beautiful medieval sounds of the Macarena and the Chicken Dance…

Damn I can't work out how to stick more than one photo per post. Will have to do the next ones separately:
